SYMBOLIC LAYING DOWN OF ARMS 2016
On Tuesday, April 19, in the courtyard of the new Museum of Ancient Ilida, a symbolic laying down of arms took place, as was done in antiquity. Uniformed athletes handed their weapons to the Mayor of Ilida, symbolically initiating the truce ahead of the Rio Olympic Games.
