Board member Konstantinos Kontogiannis handed over to Pantelis Papapanagiotou, President of the Association of Paraplegics and Persons with Motor Disabilities of the Regional Unit of Ilia, the plastic bottle caps collected from water and energy drinks used by runners during the first Route of Truce.

Mr. Papapanagiotou thanked the organization for its initiative and its support to their Association, which for a long time has been collecting bottle caps in order to purchase wheelchairs for people in need. Konstantinos Kontogiannis congratulated them on their efforts and on the assistance they have offered to fellow citizens in need, and promised that during this year’s Route of Truce the bottle caps will once again be collected and donated to their Association, so that—together with others—they may be used accordingly, helping to ensure freedom of access and preventing obstacles created by the environment or by social attitudes.
